Radon measurement in houses

from 29

In Ireland radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas which can accumulate inside buildings, including your home, which can cause lung cancer. The risk varies depending on where you live, the local underlying rocks and regional geology.

Using our Radtrak²® detectors enables you to obtain a reliable assessment of the radon levels in your home. The detectors are specifically designed to measure the yearly average radon level that has been adjusted for the season, which takes into account closed or open windows.

Radon measurements in Irish homes are normally carried out with two Radtrak²® detectors (one in the master bedroom and one in the living room), over three months, to average out short-term radon fluctuations.
